Racing History:
Racing is nothing new to Roy Montgomery; however being behind the wheel is.  Growing up in Houston, Texas, Roy and brother Rusty spent many years on the road and in the shop maintaining the family’s drag racing boat.  After 14 championships and many race days later, the young brothers were truly racing veterans.

Montgomery re-injected himself to the racing scene when connecting with long time friend Kevin O’Connell.  Relocating to the west coast, Montgomery assumed the role as Technical Director for O’Connell Racing with efforts in Rolex Grand-Am Series and NASCAR Road Racing events.

Getting clipped by the driving bug, Roy found himself behind the wheel at the beginning of 2008 in a very green position.  Throttle down and committed, the experienced wrench gained valuable seat-time with countless laps on the track.  Montgomery hooked up with FX Racing towards the end of his first season as his development started to require further support.

The Newport Beach resident maintains a busy business schedule as a principal of General Pacific Partners LLC. while balancing his racing time behind the wheel and managing O’Connell Racing’s operation.
