Racing History:
Like most kart drivers, Philip Conte is a true motorsports fanatic. From motorcycles to boats, the drag strip to ovals and sports cars to open wheel, Conte enjoy the passion, competition and technology of racing.

Starting with his first kart in 1974 and a family background in CanAm, SuperVee, IMSA GTP and vintage car racing, Philip pursued his interest in racing at an early age. He began working as a mechanic on the family's CanAm and IMSA teams in 1981. Conte started his personal racing career competing with Jet Ski's in 1989 claiming a title at the California State Championship in 1992. After a short break from competition for his daughter's birth in 1993, he made the transition to racing karts from 1997 through 2001.

In 2005, Conte returned to the race track with the Mercedes-Benz AMG Challenge, a hi-performance driving school. After claiming awards for fast laps along with the smoothest driver, the speed spark was rekindled.

Philip maintains a professional career as a sales manager for GEXPRO with over 25 years of experience manufacturing high voltage electrical switchgear. Formerly working for RSE Sierra, CGI Systems, Conte Racing and Boise Cascade, Conte also stays busy following his daughter Courtney's soccer career.
