Racing History:
Jim Barnes has a long history of racing.  Competing professionally as a California bicycle racer, Barnes made the switch to 4 wheels and an engine in 1997.  Racing karts on and off since 1997, Barnes has competed in various series including Superkarts to box stock.  After getting back in the seat for a one off event in 2006, Barnes made the commitment with FX Racing in 2007 and has been continually known as the fast driver in the western regional karting scene.

A graduate of Purdue University in Indiana, Jim Barnes has put his engineering and logistics talents to task founding EnVista (www.envistacorp.com), a supply chain management and consulting firm.  Barnes resides in San Francisco with wife Julie.
