The 2008 SKUSA WinterNational’s Champion and perennial S3 front runner Bobby Legate will start the ProKart Challenge season opener on a Trackmagic FTR prepared by FX Racing. The team tested Legate in the Trackmagic chassis and had nothing but positive results.
“Bobby is a great talent behind the wheel. We’re looking forward to helping support his growth as a driver and help him contend for another championship,” stated FX Racing’s team owner Frank Bain. The team tested an ’08 prototype chassis designed by Trackmagic and will race the chassis through Round 1. “Bobby adapted quite quickly to the ride and we were all really happy to see the progression with lap time.
Bobby knows the FX Racing team well from seeing their drivers on track and looks forward to working with the team. “I am excited with the opportunity to work with FX Racing. They run a great team and they have earned a lot of respect from the PKC regulars. With their racing experience and strong relationship with Trackmagic, I will have a formidable package to race for the championship.
The 2008 Trackmagic FTR chassis represents the beginning of a new era for Trackmagic. As the first model with new production method for the iconic chassis manufacturer, the 2008 FTR will combine the manufacturing quality and experience with the design and R&D of Trackmagic.
